Production Manager - Landscape Installation
Position Overview:
George Cardenas Landscape is seeking a Production Manager to lead and oversee our landscape installation division. This role is ideal for a highly organized, field-oriented leader who can manage residential landscape and hardscape projects from post-sale handoff through final completion.
The ideal candidate enjoys coordinating crews, solving problems in the field, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage residential landscape installation projects from start to finish.
Coordinate daily schedules for installation crews and subcontractors.
Review project plans and ensure work is executed accurately and efficiently.
Order materials and coordinate deliveries with suppliers.
Monitor labor hours and job costs to maintain profitability.
Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality control and safety compliance.
Communicate project timelines and updates with homeowners as needed.
Work closely with sales and design teams to ensure projects are practical and buildable.
Problem-solve field challenges and adjust plans as needed.
Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in landscape installation or construction management preferred.
Strong knowledge of hardscape installation, planting, grading, and drainage.
Experience leading and managing field crews.
Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and construction drawings.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Valid driver’s license required.

Landscape Designer
Position Overview:
George Cardenas Landscape is seeking a Landscape Designer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented designer who can develop thoughtful, functional outdoor spaces for residential clients from initial concept through installation. The ideal candidate enjoys collaborating with homeowners and field teams and is comfortable using design software to clearly communicate ideas.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop landscape design concepts, layouts, and planting plans for residential properties
Create visual design presentations and drawings using landscape design software (SketchUp or similar programs a plus, but not required)
Meet with residential clients to understand goals, budgets, and site conditions
Work closely with internal sales, project management, and installation teams to ensure designs are practical and buildable
Assist with plant and material selection, including coordination with suppliers as needed
Participate in site visits, measurements, and design revisions based on client feedback
Support the sales process with design input and visuals that help homeowners move forward with confidence
Qualifications:
Experience in residential landscape design preferred
Comfortable using design software to communicate design ideas visually
Strong understanding of plants, materials, and residential outdoor space planning
Ability to translate client needs into clear, organized designs
Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects at various stages simultaneously
Design degree is a plus, but not required with relevant experience
