Landscape Designer / Sales Consultant

George Cardenas Landscape is seeking an experienced Landscape Designer / Sales Consultant to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a creative, self-motivated professional who can develop landscape designs, build client relationships, and successfully sell landscape improvement projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience creating professional landscape designs and presentations using design software, conducting client consultations, and managing projects from initial concept through contract signing.

Responsibilities

Landscape Design

  • Meet with residential and commercial clients to understand project goals, preferences, and budgets.

  • Conduct site visits, measurements, and landscape assessments.

  • Create landscape designs, planting plans, hardscape layouts, and outdoor living concepts.

  • Produce professional 2D and 3D renderings using landscape design software.

  • Select appropriate plant materials, hardscape products, and site amenities.

  • Prepare design presentations and project proposals.

  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure projects are installed according to design intent.

Sales & Client Management

  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.

  • Generate and follow up on sales leads.

  • Present design concepts, proposals, and project budgets.

  • Negotiate contracts and close landscape enhancement and design-build projects.

  • Manage client communications throughout the sales process.

  • Assist in identifying opportunities for additional services and enhancements.

  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals, and sales activities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in landscape design, landscape architecture, design-build sales, or a related field.

  • Proficiency with landscape design software such as SketchUp, Dynascape, PRO Landscape, AutoCAD, or similar programs.

  • Strong knowledge of landscape construction methods, plant materials, and horticultural practices.

  • Experience selling landscape installation, enhancement, or design-build projects.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, Horticulture, or related field.

  • Experience with residential design-build projects.

  • Knowledge of Unilock, natural stone, outdoor lighting, drainage, and planting design.

  • Experience creating realistic 3D renderings and client presentations.
