Lawn Care Technician

George Cardenas Landscape is a family-owned & operated company rooted in the North Shore for over 45 years. We are looking for enthusiastic team members to join our dynamic staff! This position is for someone looking for a long-term career.

Salary:

  • $20-$25/Hour (based on experience) - Full Time - Paid Weekly

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Experience/knowledge in the industry preferred.

  • Illinois Pesticide license is required; we offer paid training to pass state-issued Pesticide Operator/Applicator exam.

  • Customer service & client satisfaction.

  • Ability to work with others.

  • Fertilization, weed control and other herbicide applications.

  • Seeding, aeration.

  • Completion of daily route assignments.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.

  • Must have a valid drivers’ license with a good driving record. Must be 18 years or older. Be able to follow driving directions and familiarity with local service areas.

  • Ability to work Monday-Friday, some Saturdays as required. Possibility for overtime.

  • Must be able to work outdoors.

  • Must be able to read and recall regulations and procedures and pass state-issued pesticide exam.

  • Ability to work independently and provide good customer service.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
